Library Assessment Round Table, Oregon Library Association, Vice Chair, 2013–Present
Supported formation and voted to enact bylaws for new Library Assessment Round Table within the Oregon Library Association. Objectives of this organization are to provide a practical framework for information sharing, continuing education opportunities, professional interactions, and a support system to those library workers engaged in library assessment in all types of Oregon libraries. Schedule and conduct meetings and write blog posts.

Review and recommend websites for peer-reviewed journal.

Post Learning Commons and Drexel Library Marketing Group, St. Joseph’s University, Committee Member, 2011–2012
Planned and implemented outreach and marketing strategies to promote the library and its services, particularly the library’s new Learning Commons. Developed and posted series of QR codes, and monitored the “hits” or usage of QR codes, to promote and provide easy access to online library services. Posted entries to the library’s blog and on-campus digital screens to promote library services during finals such as free massages for students, extended service hours, Writing Center satellite location in the library, and group study room reservations. Copyedited and wrote for the library’s promotional newsletter, Library Lines. Created physical and online materials to promote the library’s new search tool, “Discover!” (the “Summon” discovery product from Serials Solutions).

Gender Studies Committee, St. Joseph’s University, Committee Member, 2011–2012
Consulted on issues and helped plan events for Gender Studies department. Gathered and prepared materials on Gender Studies library resources to aid in Gender Studies program review. Created and maintained Springshare LibGuide to provide resource access for students and display resources for program reviewers.

ALA Midwinter Meeting YALSA Event Task Force 2010, Committee Member, 2009–2010
Co-planned YALSA’s Midwinter social and educational event, “Games, Gadgets, and Gurus”. Recruited community professionals and graduate students to demonstrate emerging technologies such as the screencasting tool Jing, e-readers, and cloud computing to attendees interested in learning how these technologies could be integrated into libraries.
